Position Overview:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Nonprofit Services will play a key leadership role in managing and expanding the corporation’s nonprofit initiatives. The AVP will work closely with internal teams, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, oversee service delivery, and enhance operational efficiencies for nonprofit clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Program Development:

  • Assist in developing and executing the strategic vision for nonprofit services in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Support the Vice President in identifying opportunities for service expansion and impact enhancement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration of nonprofit services.

Client & Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and corporate partners.
  • Represent the corporation at nonprofit sector events, conferences, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Provide advisory support to nonprofit clients on best practices in governance, funding, and sustainability.

Operational Oversight & Service Delivery:

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery to nonprofit clients by overseeing program implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of nonprofit services.
  • Lead and support teams in executing nonprofit-related initiatives, including grant administration, funding strategies, and operational consulting.

Financial Management & Compliance:

  • Assist in budget development and financial planning for nonprofit service programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relevant to nonprofit operations.
  • Oversee reporting and impact assessment for nonprofit programs.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor nonprofit service team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Support professional development initiatives for staff and nonprofit clients.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in nonprofit management, corporate philanthropy, or nonprofit consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit governance, financial management, and operational best practices.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with nonprofits and corporate entities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and implement performance metrics.
  • Passion for community development and nonprofit sector advancement.
