Position Overview:
The Family Services Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of family support services at ACS. This role involves overseeing case management, coordinating resources, developing family programs, and ensuring families receive the necessary support to transition into stable housing. The Family Services Director will work closely with community partners, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the highest level of care and advocacy for ACS families.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Development:
- Develop and implement family service programs that align with the mission of ACS.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on family needs and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to family services.
Case Management & Family Support:
- Supervise case managers and social workers to provide comprehensive support to families.
- Develop and monitor individualized service plans for families, including housing, employment, education, and mental health resources.
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy as needed.
Community Partnerships & Advocacy:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local service providers, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
- Advocate for policies and resources that support families experiencing homelessness.
- Represent ACS in community meetings, coalitions, and events related to family services.
Staff Supervision & Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of case managers, social workers, and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing professional development and training to ensure best practices in service delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Financial & Administrative Oversight:
- Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts to support family services programs.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records on program activities and family progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, human services, or a related field (LCSW or LPC preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in social services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of homelessness, early childhood education, trauma-informed care, and family stabilization.
- Proven ability to develop and implement programs that address family needs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in grant writing and program budgeting is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $100,000-$115,000
